Nathaniel Gadsden’s Writer’s Wordshop in partnership with Jumpstreet present 100,000 Poets for Change!
[Harrisburg, PA] On Friday, September 26th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore will host 100, 000 Poets for Change, a celebration of Nathaniel Gadsden’s Writers’ Wordshop’s 37th Anniversary. Performance poet and author, Maria James-Thiaw, who got her start as an emerging poet in the Writers’ Wordshop in 1998, will M.C. the program. The free event will feature performances by the areas most talented poetic voices and musicians. Some of the confirmed acts include Nayo African Drum Collective, Harrisburg Poet Laureate Rick Kearns, poetic powerhouse Carla Christopher and many more!

As part of the global grassroots movement, 100,000 Poet’s For Change, Nathaniel Gadsden’s Writer’s Wordshop will collect donations to support the Mental Health Association of the Capital Region. This non-profit organization helps spread awareness to de-stigmatize mental illness.
